I would like to install Caos on HP servers with CCISS RAID cards but it
is not working. Upon installation, I get an error message about not
being able to find a boot partition.

i've had the same problem and just left the install cd in the drive
(kind of a lame workaround). -- gary

Hi guys, I have pinged a couple of our Caos NSA users at HP on this  
for you. It should have been resolved a few versions back, so I will  
see if something popped back up.

What version was being tried of caos?  We placed some fixes in testing and
believed it did get rolled out to a new production release.

I was trying with the latest, 1.0.29 (x86_64).

Hello

I am trying to install MRTG on my Caos NSA + perceus cluster for 
monitoring the network on my cluster. But MRTG requires snmp for its 
working. So, I installed snmp through
# smart install snmp*

And when I tried running snmp it gave the following error.

# /etc/init.d/snmpd start
Starting 
snmpd.pid:                                                       error
/etc/init.d/functions: line 90: --pidfile=/var/run/snmpd.pid: No such 
file or directory

I tried to make it work through various ways but it's showing the same 
error again. Can anyone tell me what is the problem and why pid file is 
not getting generated automatically.

Has anyone installed MRTG on caos??
Any kind of suggestion is highly appreciated.

We use Xmipp (an EM image processing suite) on our cluster, and the
GUI programs included with Xmipp require QT libraries. There don't
appear to be qt or qt-devel packages currently available in the stable
or testing repositories. However I did come across an unofficial
caos-nsa 1.0 mirror in Japan that purports to offer qt and qt-devel
rpms.

Were these packages offered in the initial release but not subsequently updated?
