But MRTG requires snmp for its working. So, I installed snmp through # smart install snmp* And when I tried running snmp it gave the following error. # /etc/init.d/snmpd start Starting snmpd.pid: error /etc/init.d/functions: line 90: --pidfile=/var/run/snmpd.pid: No such file or directory I tried to make it work through various ways but it's showing the same error again. Can anyone tell me what is the problem and why pid file is not getting generated automatically. Has anyone installed MRTG on caos?? Any kind of suggestion is highly appreciated. There don't appear to be qt or qt-devel packages currently available in the stable or testing repositories.
