Hey guys, I was wondering, are there any third party repositories with Gnome
and associated stuff that a CAOS NSA user could make use of? XFCE is nice,
but its lack of power management support renders it somewhat crippled on
laptops.

We already have some smaller external unofficial repositories set up,
but nothing containing the 200 and some odd packages for Gnome that we
have done. We would happily facilitate something like that, but
presently do not have the time to package Gnome as it is outside our
core mission for NSA.

Yes, XFCE is slim, but the point of NSA is efficiency and light
weight. What kind of power management features are you looking for?
XFCE has a battery monitor. ;)

Ability to suspend or hibernate on command via HAL. XFCE currently doesn't
have that. There is an Ubuntu patch to add Suspend/Hibernate to the "Quit"
screen's options, but it is huge and potentially buggy.
