Message-ID: <46DE9BE6.4010208@py-soft.co.uk> I've got a distant memory of there being a European multimedia cAos distro... Unfortunately, I've lost my list archives and I haven't had much luck with the online archives... Consequently, I'd be grateful if someone could please point me in the right direction! :) Many thanks, Ben From martyn at theendofhistether.org.uk Wed Sep 5 05:24:57 2007 From: martyn at theendofhistether.org.uk (Martyn) Date: Wed, 05 Sep 2007 13:24:57 +0100 Subject: [cAos] European multimedia distro? After typing 'install', I get the following error: /cinch/install/40-core_install: /cinch/install.d/40-core_install: 6: cannot open /cdrom/corefs.img: No such file cpio: premature end of archive Using 'install postshell' I can see that the /cdrom dir is empty; it seems that the installer unmounted that directory. I've already tested the same media against a server with an internal CD drive without problems, that's why I'm thinking on the USB thing. Has anybody an idea on how to solve it? (I think I can solve that using the pre-install shell...) Thanks in advance! -- Andres PS, Another thing I've noted is that you receive an error regarding the e1000 driver when testing the installation if you do not have a network cable plugged in the interface. -----Original Message----- From: caos-bounces at caoslinux.org [mailto:caos-bounces at caoslinux.org] On Behalf Of caos-request at caoslinux.org Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2007 9:00 AM To: caos at caoslinux.org Subject: cAos Digest, Vol 8, Issue 1 Send cAos mailing list submissions to caos at caoslinux.org To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://lists.caosity.org/mailman/listinfo/caos or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to caos-request at caoslinux.org You can reach the person managing the list at caos-owner at caoslinux.org When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of cAos digest..." BTW, I rerolled the isos and split up the installers into package groups (node, server, appliance and full). I don't they will fix what you are seeing because I haven't modified the usb support in them recently. > > Thanks in advance! :) > > -- Andres > > PS, Another thing I've noted is that you receive an error regarding the > e1000 driver when testing the installation if you do not have a network > cable plugged in the interface.
